BUSINESS SUPPORT MANAGER

Business Support Manager (Van Nuys, CA) 

What We Do: Black Girl Sunscreen is the leading provider of sun care for women of color. What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a motivated and optimistic candidate with a passion for organization, coordination, and overseeing engaging activities. This person must love to work with people while having great leadership skills albeit they are in a supportive role. 

 

What You Will Do: 

The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Responsible for opening and closing the office during operating hours 
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies 
  • Coordinate fun, engaging office activities 
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlord 
  • Provide general support to office visitors 
  • Oversee adherence to office policies and procedures 
  • Implement new policies and procedures as assigned 
  • Schedule and organize meetings (in person or virtual) 
  • Assist with onboarding new team members (computer, system access, office supplies, company credit card if applicable, etc.) 
  • Book travel arrangements for team members

Job Summary:  The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions of the organization. 

 

Job Functions: The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Record month end journal entries
  • Perform cash application
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
  • Record and track fixed assets; generate depreciation postings
  • Assist with tax filings
  • Respond to audit requests
  • Perform other accounting duties as requested

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years accounting experience; familiarity with SAP a plus

Inventory & EDI Coordinator (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Summary:  The Inventory & EDI Coordinator is responsible for inventory management and EDI-related processes. 

 

Job Functions: The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Vendor onboarding in EDI
  • Administer, test, and implement EDI connections with retailers
  • Coordinate changes with retailers for new product offerings and updates
  • Track all PO’s and invoices through SPS Commerce and other EDI systems
  • Work with warehouse teams to manage inventory levels and make sure orders ship in a timely manner

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with EDI processing

What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a creative and experienced DTC digital marketing superstar to join our team.

 

What You Will Do: The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Define build and scale, new acquisition programs at Black Girl Sunscreen from the ground up through datadriven marketing and grass roots strategies

• Oversee and develop content strategy for each website/channel

• Drive revenue growth both directly through organic traffic, and indirectly in close partnership with our marketing team

• Transform customer data into actionable insights, seeing real-time impacts to performance metrics like conversion, add to cart, and product page view rate

• Must understand UI and UX

• Be responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly website performance reporting

• Oversee the maintenance of strategic initiatives that meet and exceed ROAS goals

• Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to support initiatives that will profitably grow the business and enhance the website functionality and experience

We Would Love If You Have:

• 3+ years of work experience DTC in CPG

• A Bachelor’s degree

• Expertise in WooCommerce, Shopify, and Google Analytics; knowledgeable in SEO

• The ability to manage multiple project tracks simultaneously, utilizing sound prioritization to manage time effectively – can easily pivot when needed & knows when to push/advocate and when to be patient/flexible

What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a Marketing Director to drive the strategy, development, and execution of growth marketing, brand awareness, and community engagement efforts.

 

What You Will Do: The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Reporting to the Founder/CEO, the Marketing Director will be responsible for managing our product marketing, SEO, and social media initiatives.
  • Marketing Strategy & Development
  • Take our marketing department to the next level.
  • Collaborate with our CEO to develop a strategic marketing plan for 2021 and beyond.
